Lee Lovett came to Shelbyville in February 2006 after an eleven-year appointment in Herrin , Illinois .
Lee has been in the ministry 28 years in several churches in Central and Southern Illinois , and served in the U. S. Army as a Chaplain during the Gulf War, honorably discharged from the reserves in 2002 with the rank of Major.
Lee’s education includes a Master of Theology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas , Texas
Lee and his wife Sandra were married in 1981 and have three children: Ashley, Tim, and Allison.
He has served as member of the Conference Communication Committee, and as a Trustee of the Wesley Foundation at SIU, Carbondale . He has been on the District Committee on Ministry teams, and a trustee of the McKendree College Voight lecture series.
His interests include Information Technology, running, bicycling, and Biblical Archeology.
